Peake Class
Welcome to Peake class!
My name is Miss Mack and I teach in Year 6 with support from Mrs Lloyd. In Peake we are also lucky enough to have a coach from Get Active teaching PE.
In our class we always aspire to do our best, working in a classroom as a team, where all adults and children alike respect each other. Peake class are hardworking, determined and resilient learners. We aim to work both together and independently, to be the best that we can be, supporting the school vision and upholding our school values. We take pride in ourselves, our work and our learning while having lots of fun along the way!
Term 2's Learning
Welcome to the planet’s coldest lands…. Vast wilds and hostile territories – incredibly beautiful, yet often deadly. Take shelter from the elements or fall prey to icy winds and the deepest chill. Trek bravely and valiantly across treacherous terrain to the ends of the Earth, treading deep in snow or be pulled by a team of mighty sled dogs.
Be alert, for magnificent mammals roam these lands, sometimes hungry or fresh for a fight. Perhaps a hungry polar bear or an arctic fox is hunting rodents, as swift as the wind!
Research facts and figures of climate, temperature, habitats and ecosystems, and compose evocative poems about the Northern Lights.
Become part of an Antarctic rescues team, braving the elements to rescue terrified passengers from a ship struck by a deadly iceberg that hides deep beneath the Antarctic Ocean.
So wrap up well everyone and settle be the fire. I’m just going outside and may be sometime….
Shackleton Class
Welcome to Shackleton Class! My name is Mrs Radcliffe and I am the class teacher. We have fantastic support from Mrs Barker and Mrs Batchelor. Shackleton are also lucky enough to have the added experience of a coach from Get Active (PE) teaching them for certain lessons during the week.
In Shackleton we aim not only to do our best and reach our full potential by following the school values, but also to encourage the children to take increased responsibility, both for their learning, in preparation for secondary school, and by being excellent role models to the rest of the school.
